It's a 82 game season, you're not going to get great defensive effort every night out as a goalie, if you're legit you don't go collapse and cry in the corner, you suck it up and hold the team in with some big stop.

Stuart Koskinen is what he is. A back up, he can't elevate his game in that way.

Maybe this headcase has heard some whispers and is starting to feel the pressure

Dude just doesn’t have the mental fortitude to be a starter (evidenced by having a full time shrink last year)

Friedman coming out and saying he was sure that Gibson was going to get traded to Edmonton earlier in the season, but isn't so sure of a deal being made now was more of a shout than a whisper.

Between Knob's very diplomatic comments after the Colorado game, could be a shift happening behind the scenes. Just a few weeks to trade deadline and this is very much a do or die season for the Oilers.

The team has been shit but so has Skinner. Sometimes good goalies keep you in games where you are getting outplayed. Skinner did that in Game 6 against Dallas. One of the very rare times that he's done that.
