I can't believe I waited 2 weeks for this... gross.
The fact that Skinner is starting against Philly instead of Washington on a back to back is a tell that confidence behind the scenes in Skinner's ability to win against good teams isn't great. They won’t pull him because they are starting CP tomorrow.
You’re right, no team should ever expect their #1 goalie to hold the fort while a team finds their legs.Oilers getting outshot, outplayed, giving up 2-0s and it’s always the goalies fault....a lazy narrative but on par with this place
9?How many goes in before Skins is pulled? Lol
If you do get Gibson hypothetically. I'd almost rather ship Skinner out and keep Picard. Skinner doesn't play well when he is sitting. plus it gives us more cap space
I was thinking the same but they can still pull him for the 3rd period. Pickard can probably go 4 periods.I think they don't want to pull him cause they need Pickard vs Wash tomorrow
It’s always “well the d made a bad play”. If every bad play ends up in the back of your net then you have a bad goalie. Bad plays happen and get saved CONSTANTLY it happens against us all the time.Skinner defenders missing the forest for the trees again.
No, he's not responsible for the Oilers losing this game, but he sure isn't helping them win it.
I was told that doesn't matter by certain radio personalities, because most goals are scored on rush chances and oilers aren't good at defending rush chances, LOLDoesn’t even matter that the Oilers have some of the best defensive metrics in the league. A starting goalie is supposed to be able to make a save or two when things go wrong. Stu almost never does
He’s another Steve Mason in my opinion. You are never going to be able to trade Stu.
Yeah this is a bad a defensive performance as we've seen in a while from this teamThis is pee wee hockey level team defending.
