I think the credit the NHL is getting for this tournament is mega overblown, the NHL are the ones who shot themselves in the foot for years preventing any best-on-best from taking place. Then they finally do something like this after everyone begs them for years, and its basically the shittiest-imaginable configuration (only 4 teams) and its successful because its a best on best —- and people act like Gary Bettman is some kind of genius.

Anyway, at the beginning of this thread there were multiple people acting like Connor McDavid is so injured that he can’t lift a small cup after we just watched him play the whole tournament and score the winning goal. Get real. His injury (if he still has one) is abdominal as it was in the playoffs last year, probably will turn out similar to Kane if he doesn’t get it dealt with.

Knob needs to show some freaking accountability on Bouchard. He should be benched from PP1 in favor of Klingberg for several games.

Swap Klingberg and Bouchard 5 on 5 too and put embersson with Nurse and Bouchard on the bottom pairing with no pp minutes until his game improves.
