I got it from Wikipedia and I remember him always listed in that range. Unless he gained a lot of weight since his Oilers days, 178 lbs seems like a big stretch.

Yamo added weight every year. You’re probably referring to his combine weight, which no surprise for a 18 year old kid that was like 5’6 it was pretty slight. But he knew his only chance in the NHL was to bulk up as much as his frame could take. He grew a couple inches too, whether he just started wearing skates to his physicals or not I dont know, NHL is often suspect with their heights. But if it says he is 178, that is what the scale read one day. Maybe he had a heavy breakfast. But Matt Savoie is about the same size as him presently. He will likely add weight as well, and might actually get to a respectable sustainable level if we’re lucky. I think hes a “legit 5’9” and Yamo was stretching a bit.
