13 pages in less than a day vs. 6 pages in 3 days for the last win/shutout. Never change Bruins "fans". Never change.

This isn't a Bruins fan thing, it's human nature. There'll be more posts following a loss on every board on this site, and every other sporting forum, just as there are more clicks and comments on negative news stories. Broadly speaking it's how we're wired.

Every fanbase has its quirks and foibles, but in the end we're all pretty much the same. People are just people, it tends to be easier for most to critique than praise, and folks like to vent. 'Twas ever thus.

Absolute brilliant guy

As I've answered others, I'm the exact opposite. My dad had an addition to the old saying "Those who can't do, teach". It was "and those who can't teach, critique." I guess it stuck with me.

And good on you, sincerely. I lean that way myself, or at least I'd like to think so. But the general trends and traits amongst people as a whole are what they are.

I hear that Brad sometimes crosses the edge and lack discipline. 2019 7 th game bad change is one of them. But on the other hand, Marchand has been clutch, serviceable and a better asset than the opposite.

This year, Boston PK is astrocious. And that means player should play and avoid as much possible the penalty bench.

But on the Marchand yesterday penalty, deserved penalty IMO. It is ok and fair.

BUT, Everyone was laughing at Lucic running Miller back then. Marchand driving the net for me was a fu...n HOCKEY PLAY who got called. Not his fault the PK did not get his back. Team sport sometime stink! Brad saved (he is among the top PK scorer and with 37 has been a top PK defender for a decade) much more ass than the contrary!!!!

How many captains have been benched? The issues were from the two guys this year. I remember they were talking extension in the summer, what's the delay?

Again, you're taking two instances and then not even an instance, but an inference, to form an entirely subjective narrative. You heard they were talking extension in the summer? And somehow, because you have not heard anything recently, that acts as evidence that they're not currently talking about an extension? No evidence is not evidence.

I'm not here to straight up tell you that you are wrong. I don't know any more than you do. But that's my point. Neither of us know. I would wholly argue that in terms of "serious issues", the long view is likely to be the more accurate indicator as to how coaches feel overall about Brad Marchand's game, rather than a couple of hand-picked moments encompassing a matter of seconds. Which brings me back to my original response. It is very difficult to imagine multiple coaches having "serious issues" with Brad Marchand's game or personality given his longevity with a single franchise. This doesn't even get into the countless number of players and coaches over the years who have talked about how, contrary to how he may seem, he's a pretty humble guy.

The Lucic play was much more egregious than what Marchand did and I really never understood why it was looked at as such a chest-pounding moment for so many Bruins fans. A big guy ran into an unsuspecting goalie. I mean...it was kind of funny. And I certainly enjoyed Lucic beating up Gaustad when he was challenged however many games later. But I didn't feel any sort of "pride" as a fan given what transpired when he collided with Miller.

One thing I'm noticing more about Marchand lately, and this isn't exactly the worst thing in the world is the fact that he's losing his mind after basically every penalty he takes, 80% of which are warranted penalties.

I know we've discussed the interference penalty he took quite a bit, but immediately after NY scored he lost it and went right at the officials. Right there he was lucky he didn't get another 2 minute penalty or a misconduct, I've seen it happen a ton when players go apeshit like that.

A few weeks ago he slapped the arm of an official away as he was being restrained from a scrum.

I just think he's feeling the pressure as the captain.

I think that having a longer leash to yap at the referees because he has the "C" on his chest is something he very much takes advantage of.

From hearing him speak about it, it sounds like he felt more pressure when he first became the Captain, which then receded as he settled more into being "himself" rather than trying to imitate Z or Bergy.

When is the last time you saw a guy wearing a C get an unsportsmanlike for ripping on a zebra in the NHL?

It'll happen to Brad, don't get me wrong. But it's a rare sight.

I would have a verbal extension and deal him to Colorado & he resigns after

Whatever I get from Colorado I send back with Boston’s 1 for Necas

Sacco has done a very good job

Anyone catch the 111 players who voted on the best & worst coaches

Cassidy trashed
I don't know if Sacco is a good coach a bad coach, if he should be fired or given a contract, but one thing I do know, this guy has been dealt a shitty hand, and he has been waiting for a long time to get another shot at HC job, his misfortune is it is this one.

Back then when Luccic, ran Miller that was a good team that could overcome those type penalties, and was also part of what that team was about, and Luccic was not a captain and was a helluva lot younger in his career than Marchand, this team is not good enough to overcome those type of mistakes.

I know I brought up the Lucic/Sabres hit, but Marchand did nothing close to what Looch did, which alot of folks laughed at, and shown pride because of it.

Marchand skated to the net! Hockey play there. Undiscipline... could be, but I much prefer having a winger driven the net than avoiding it. And the captain thing.... Marchand is Marchand. Can't ask the guy to become Chara or Bergeron. It is not what he is.

PK did not do their job!!! bottom line.

I think he's trying to carry this team and it is now starting to show. What pisses me off is people piling on him and blaming just him for every loss as of late. It is like he kicked everyone's pets the way people have turned on him.

Last night, it was a penalty but he was driving to the net. There was no ill intent like some are alluding to. Like you have said since last night, they should have made it 4x4 once Miller ripped his helmet off.

Fans need to stop trying to compare him to Chara and Bergeron. They also need to stop cherry picking quotes from 2+ years ago to try and "prove" what an awful leader is. No one is perfect. Z and Bergy both had flaws and on occasion, did something that cost the team a goal or did something on ice that made you cringe. Obviously not as much as Marchand has but they had their warts too.

Also, bringing up 2019 and claiming ownership hasn't forgiven him for the shit line change is pure bs and has zero relevance.

that might be true, but they have been killing a lot of his dumb penalties
