I preached a lot about taking the time to really assess a GM.

That Miller trade was the tipping point where I was like "this guy doesn't get it."

It was the 1st rounder for me. That makes it a buy-in and spare me the mental gymnastics on calling it anything else.

The team also never gave Chytil a single chance in the long time he was here.

It showed me he has no idea how to construct a team. Never mind the horrendous asset management and trading for another 30 or older player on a team that isn’t good enough to win. But then he trades one of the few elements the Rangers don’t have, speed through the middle of the ice for another playmaker with average speed who isn’t good defensively. It was a bad trade I don’t care what people say. He’s terrible. We can go back to trading for Tarasenko when this teams problem was 5v5 playdriving and not another guy who scores a bit but is useless aside from that.

Lindgren has the puck, skates dead middle into the slot and tries for a deflection pass that goes wide. This f***ing team is infuriating. They don't do any of the things that other teams do against them. Forecheck. Backcheck. Guys screening the goalie (because they're wide looking for deflections), defense doesn't shoot to score, they shoot for non-stop deflections, and don't let me getting started with letting Buffalo's D-men get breakaways and stickhandle them to death on the blueline.

Well, Buffalo came into the game leading in first period goals for the season. I think they are the 2nd or 3rd worst team in the league in goal differential combined through the 2nd and 3rd.

Also, the opposition pulling the goalie is bad news for the Sabres. I think the Sabres have blown 3-4 big leads this season after forcing the other team to make a goalie change. I think Colorado was down by 4 and came back to beat Buffalo late in the 2nd.

It starts with Drury. This team should have and still needs a root canal. Igor does not deserve a penny of this contract and you can't tell me 2 1B goalies at $5M per year couldn't produce a better result. Maybe construct a better team with the other 7 Million per.

Then its coaching. Laviolette and Housely are just as stubborn as the cowards that make up the core of this team.

There shouldn't be a single player with a letter on their jersey with the way they absolutely no show games like this time and time again. Winners don't look past lottery teams after a 2 week layoff where they need to virtually win every game to get in the playoffs.
