I'm going to be honest, the lack of precision and the amount of out-of-sync passes from team Canada last night made me appreciate this Oilers team so much more. This is a legitimate cup contender.

I think it has to do more with not wanting to play into July. Have to make up for the lost schedule days.

I think he definitely should sit. It’s the Flyers, we can handle it.

Playing him on a road back to back after that, especially a 1pm game on Saturday, makes no sense.

I mean it's a 1.5 hour flight from Boston to Philly, he has a day off to make the trip, and he's played 4 games in the last 2 weeks. I'd sit him if he's sick or injured, but I don't think fatigue is really an issue here.

I understand that, but 2 early matinees means Edmonton and Washington will be the two teams with the quickest turnaround to restart and it's not because they've played the least games (14 other teams have played the same number or less).

Not a huge deal, but would have preferred that they weren't two early matinees.

His voice was pretty raspy last night in the interviews. Could be from shouting in the celebration, but could be that he's been dealing with the same illness many at 4 Nations dealt with. I don't think he'll sit out, but it may be wise to plan on limitting his play time a bit.

I don't mind a few 11:00 starts throughout the year. The comment is moreso about back to back 11:00 starts less than 40 hours after that championship game ended.
