The general story going around does seem to be that this year's draft is not particularly strong. But I'm suspicious of that, plus even in a genuinely weak year there will always be some talent. And strong or weak you still only have your 1 or 2 high picks - all the quality of the field does is change the odds a bit one way or the other that you'll land something good.
Bottom line is I think the supposed quality of the draft should have very little baring in itself on how a team manages its medium-long term plans.
If the Bruins end of drafting in the top half of the first round, the odds are pretty good that they will get a good player. Deferring or altering a deal to get a pick in a later year seems a little nuts to me when so much can change in that year.
Will we see two consecutive good showings for the Bruins?
If they sell off more assets on this team It better be top 6 under 30.Bruins win tonight, they’ve earned the right for Sweeney to go out and get a top 6 for a playoff run. Won’t be the same Rangers team they played last Saturday.
Good call, forgot they put up 6 on the Rags tooIf they win tonight, that would be three good wins in a row!
Good Luck Rangers!

I think its more closer to fact as like 90% of the Draft experts are saying the same. Worst draft since 1999
forget it, B`s will pick up Liam O'Brien for that first round pickI thought so too, and that where it is "weak" it is in the later rounds. We could be nuts, though. Dom may show up and correct us if we've misquoted him![]()
Ratelle was a beast both those series. Loved watching Dionne play, he was amazing. thanks for the memory.NHL also did away with East\West set up in the mid-to-late 1970's, that gave us consecutive QF in 1976 and 1977 of Boston vs LA. Don't remember when they went back to East\West, but must have been shortly after 1980, maybe 1982?
Maybe I’m wrong but hasn’t Korpisalo had some real tough games on the road ? I remember him being very good vs Ottawa but that was at home. Start Swayman.Back-to-back or not, they had better be starting Swayman tonight. Give Korpisalo the out-of-conference opponent Vegas on Saturday. Not only do they want the 2 points, you want to make sure the Rangers don't get any points.
After tonight, Swayman likely doesn't see game action for 16 days if they go this route. (Doubtful he appears for Team USA in the 4 Nations IMO, I think they'll peg him as the 3rd goalie). Coming off a shut-out just adds fuel to the fire (I'd always start a goalie coming off a shut-out the next game).

No thanks. I like Pasta as Pasta not some idiot/ clown.I'm really looking forward to us laying a beat down on the Rangers....I want to see some Hulk Hogan moves from Pasta after he scores his 3rd tonight...hand cupped to is ear skating around then ripping off his jersey ....I'm not even a Hulk Hogan fan....but I'm fired up! GO Bssss!View attachment 973117
