Thanks for the GDT

Lots of memories packed in there. My history with the Jets is very long indeed, having been taken to games in the first WHA season as a wee child. I never did much with the autograph side of things however.
One of the most memorable aspects of the WHA era was my continuous battle with my dad to stay until the end of the game. He hated sitting in traffic so if the game wasn't close, we were out the door with five minutes left in the game. I hated that so much. Don't get me wrong, I loved my dad for taking me and appreciated him, it was just that aspect that gutted me each time. It was always past my bedtime so that was part of the reason I wanted to stay (I used to get my parents to leave HNIC on with the volume up so I could hear the three stars - it also let me stay up past my bedtime of 9, even though I was in bed listening).
Jets 1.0 NHL years were lots of fun too and the 90s were great as I finally had some disposable income of my own. In University but those cheap seats were awesome, I attended so many games under the portrait of the Queen and in the upper decks.
