I just genuinely don’t understand your point.

Do we have a superstar? Nope. Timmy will get there imo, but not just yet.

Do we lack explosive offensive talent? No I think we specifically lack one high-end piece up front that would help us a) elevate our top 6 and b) create a deeper team. And push guys into their correct slots.

I am just not sure why that has to be brought up everytime someone goes five hole on a shot.

The five hole shot gets brought up because we truly try it every time(hyperbole) and it’s crazy to me.

Okay we disagree. I don’t think this team has high high end offensive talent.

First line step on the ice the other team shits their pants.

Or even a guy who simply tilts the ice every shift.

I don’t think stutzle will get there

I think a lot of teams have 2 better offensive players than Stutzle who is undoubtedly our best offensive player. Can we beat those teams? Ya sometimes for sure.

I think we’re missing a piece who is our best player personally. Not a piece that can help our “top 6”
 
Tampa looked like the better team. Vasilevskiy looked like he wasn't going to be beaten and the team played like it in front of him.

Why isn't Leevi playing? And if not Leevi why wasn't Ullmark playing?

So, we lose to Tampa 2 days ago in a close game. We need a chance to win, expecting another close game, and we pay our 3rd best goaltender. Wtf?

We were playing well with great goaltending from Leevi. We are a team with no real superstar. We were winning by committee and a strong defensive effort from everyone.

Missing our 2nd and 3rd line centres who were playing quite well is the difference between a top 3 team in the Atlantic and fighting for a wildcard spot.

Well, that and we can't play Forsberg over a rested Ullmark and Leevi.

Florida had barkov tkatchuk *AND* a FIFTY SEVEN goal scorer.

Colorado obviously crazy firepower.

I think we can model ourselves after golden knights and blues winnning teams. That’s our comp.

Tamp won consecutive just insane talent and firepower.

Pressburg obviously Crosby and Malkin.

Sure thing, I hope Tampa thinks they won by a blowout too because that kind of overconfidence will find them on the outside looking in when they don't have the fortune of facing teams missing two top 9 centers.

It would be embarrassing if sens fans were crowing about blowing a team our in a game that was 1 goal away from being tied for 55 mins before a fluke deflection opened the gape and and en were added.

Yes. This is all correct.

I just respond to people that are like “where are stutzle and tkatchuk?? We need them”. Well they are where they are because of the players they are.

If the team isn’t going as a unit a couple of our top players are not going to drag us out of the dumps. We don’t have that player.

No I would think their coach is ripping them for leaving gaudette and giroux wide open in from the net at 2-1.

Also fumbling the puck 3 times which allowed highnore to feed stutzle for a wide open net.

If Travis Green wanted to ride Forsberg's good goaltending and was going to play Ully only one of the two Tampa games, he should have had Forsberg play on Tues and run with Ullmark from tonight onwards.

I just don't understand the logic :huh:

Although it wouldn't have made a difference, our offence has dried up again with the absence of Norris and Pinto.

Stützle is tied for 36th in pts/game and doesn’t even always have a good winger on his line. The idea that a lot of teams have 2 better offensive players doesn’t line up.

That thing took a weird bounce and he had traffic coming in from the left. Getting in front of that is either sheer size or luck.

These results in Tampa are unfortunate but the sens weren’t going to go undefeated the rest of the way.

You sound like you need to have a snack and a nap.

None of these players are on Kucherov's level.
 
I'm not surprised we lost both. Disappointed, but not surprised. They played well but didn't have the intensity that they had against Minnesota and against Nashville in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Forsberg played well tonight, but we needed God mode to win. It was a tall order without Pinter and Norris.

Hopefully these losses will fire them up. They usually play well when they're pissed off. And I bet they are right now.

We'll be fine: a healthy team in March, favorable schedule, lots of home games. We've seen what they're capable of; I'm still feeling good.
