Tampa with so much fake tough at the end there. All those guys woofing at Simon, but no one wanted any part of actually going at him.

Sucky game to have to tide us all over for two weeks. Start another streak against Minny on the 22nd.

Considering the team was probably better off playing the entire first period with an empty net and extra attacker on, the collective efforts of the team were pretty good.

Never fun losing against Tampa, but I think in a 7 game series, Detroit is slowly looking like the better of the two.

Poor goaltending lost this game. All 4 lines played well. My favourite defender Gus didn’t look horrible out there, neither did Holl. All in all good effort by the team.

Vasilevsky showed why he should still be considered as one of the top goalies in the league.

This was a good test for what’s left to come of the regular season and hopefully a playoff appearance come April.

Sucks it was a 4 point game. Hopefully The sens lose tonight too.

Lyons first goal he gave up and talbots last goal he gave up were absolutely brutal. Lightning only had 17 shots. That’s a game we really could have won if it wasn’t for goaltending. But they did steal us games on the west coast, so I guess it all evens out.

That's def an issue with Talbot and Lyon is they can have stinky stretches. It's like you guys need to alternate your stinkness for our sakes to make the playoffs.

Copp/Compher are a waste offensively.

Longer he stays playing with Raymond and Larkin, better for him. Still 20 , should be no complaints he plays on the first line

I missed the 3rd period but looks like that was for the best. Was hoping to come back to the GDT and read the tale of someone one-punch KOing Koocher-off.

It's a good question. Compher only took 5 faceoffs which makes me think he is not 100%.

Why not let him rest for the two weeks? It's not like he was carrying the team before his injury.

Choke? We outplayed big time. 2nd period 19 to 4 in shots. We created some great chances, but didn't score.

He's a ridiculously great player and I enjoy watching him, but he's also a dick and in this game, you're supposed to feel the pain when you deserve it.

He was cheating, cherry picking for an en at the centre.

I am probably the only poster on this board who defends Holl, but he screwed up their 5th, leaving his position and chasing the guy on the left side. Mclellan doesn't trust him. He played only 11 min. I believe he played less even than every forward. Guss finished -3.

Probably just pissed at the result. I like it.

They actually threw hits today, and not just Joey Veleno shove hits. It's the way they need to play Ottawa but never seem to.

I think our 1st line lost us the game too. No points, -2 and Kasper turned the puck over which cost us their 4th goal. It's hard to co e back 1 to 4.
