I will say this. Mika’s entire vibe has changed significantly in the last 4-5 weeks. His play, his interviews. He seems dialed in and competitive. I always knock the guy so have to give him some credit too.
His body language and demeanor is better than the whoah is me he had going. It's still baffling how much he has lost in terms of speed, shot power+accuracy and puck control.

That may be true, but why was he checked out for the first 3 months of the season? These guys are professionals who get paid a ton of cash, they don't get to pick & choose the parts of the season when they're in the mood to give it their all.

Oh I totally agree, and I was killing the guy for his early effort. Just thought I’d call out the change and I hope it continues.

Who? Kakko?
The line of Kakko-Chytil-Buchnevich

I'd say it was a mental issue....maybe some form of depression.

I was at the game last night. The only player who seemed remotely concerned about Igor’s injury was Lindgren. Everyone else was coasting around the ice looking at the ceiling, like they figured Igor was milking another bump. Igor also overplays the puck a ton which interferes with the transition.

Hoping for an improved performance and a win because that's the whole point.

If you're hoping for losses and a rebuild, stop watching and find a new hobby for a few years, and find something else to incessantly complain about in the meantime.

People are rightfully frustrated. The hope for losses is coming out of the emotion and frustration with the nonchalant attitude. With the way they do not take "lesser" opponents seriously, they deserve to lose. At this point, do you even expect them to get it through their thick skulls that every game is a must win?
