One other thing. Hats off to management and the coaching staff for sticking with Poitras after what I would call 5 sub par games to end January. He's been a house of fire the past two games.
Great call. Poitras and Lohrei need time. The coaching staff gave it to them. There is no coincidence that after Lohrei’s massive give away he has been playing his best hockey. Kids make mistakes. Let them. It is paying off.

I can’t understand the “ sell “ crowd when the Bruins are right in the mix . Bust up the team so one of Detroit , Columbus , Ottawa or NYI can make the playoffs while the Bruins sit at home watching . Like it’s really going to make a difference getting a draft pick for Frederic . I’m not suggesting they are about to go on a deep playoff run but I’m not sold on Washington. I have no problems with the Bruins getting a wildcard spot every year. Having great regular seasons hasn’t converted into great playoff success with this team .
The sell crowd absolutely has a good argument and is easily understood. This team goal differential is crap, they constantly lay eggs against good teams, and the forward group is lacking in talent long term to say the least.

This was a great win and I hope they can build off it (maybe the 18th time we’ve said that this year), but the sell crowd sees the forest through the trees. I don’t blame them. A lot of the time I join them haha.

And those people are probably the same ones who shit on the team for having great regular seasons and then imploding in the playoffs and claim the regular season is meaningless. Now , the regular season is so important? I’d rather watch a team start to come together around this time of year and make a little noise in the playoffs.

anyone else not a fan of the wagering comment that Judd made right after the Frederic goal?

feels like the refs over call Zadorov, probably because of his size that he is noticeable. sadly I feel it hurts his game because he consciously plays more careful and hits less hard, etc
I dunno. He cross checked the guy 3 times. Would have got away with it if he didn't go for the third one.
Just needs to hold back a bit sometimes, especially in a 2-0 game.

Not last night.
There was one shift where he turned the puck over like 5 times but ended up making the backcheck and took out a Wild player that led to a Bruins goal. Just wish he could make a pass. I'm sure he'll be a bit more settled once Hampus comes back.

That was me and yeah I know, and I get it. Just feels that little bit cheap.

Lets just say that I hope the goals that tie and break the record are actually ones that beat a goalie. Will be much better that way.
I think they should not count empty net goals to the goalies GAA. Pretty sure they do count, could be wrong.

Yeah he earned it I thought, that’s the kind of penalty I don’t mind him taking though. I like the mean-spirited penalties. Just don’t like the holds and grabs.

But show your work?

This year 20% of the team was new. All the lines and pairings were basically new. The coach is new. The system is adjusted. And THEN, we got all those injuries.

It's obvious that for a pile of games, 75% of the team was playing below their capabilities based on modest ppg totals. We KNOW Sway was playing well below his abilities for example.

Is it not even remotely possible that they're finally coming together? It's what, 9 games till the deadline? If nothing else the break might be poorly timed with them heating up. But let's see with Hampus back what this team has. Because I don't agree that they're definite sellers yet.
It’s a very remote possibility that they’re coming together but it’s much more likely that they can’t and won’t. GM has to make a call one way or the other. Based upon the higher percentage, we should be selling. This team isn’t a Hampus Lindholm away from being a serious contender. Our deficiencies are much more profound.
