We all know the player Sid/G need atm.
Thats definitely what should happen but...
I'd rather have this tho than totally butchering Sid's line to the point it's a black hole offensively and -'s every night defensively.

This is atleast a step in the right direction for me.
I know, it's trying.

LGP!

No, screwing up Geno's line to stop the bleeding on Sid's line is NOT a step in the right direction. It's taking one step back to take one step forward at best.

The play was to keep what was working (Rust-Geno-Horny) and use Tanev to fix what was not (McCann-Sid-Simon).

Sid now with another game with Corsi under 40% since he came back...got to do something about this...the fourth line stinks and the ENERGY line has not been positive in a while now...no wonder why Petts is 1:13 in shots...we forgot how to forecheck
Bring back the Lafferty, AJ, Blandisi line.

That was one thing Rust-Malkin-Horny had in the first period and early in the 2nd before Sully broke up the line.

It's why, no matter how much I hate Rust on the LW, I knew it was the only viable option.

The play here was Tanev to Sid's line.

Sully blew it big time here.
they had better possession and offensive time with McCann then with Horny...

Wasn’t most of this board asking for horny to be put on sids line though. And remove McCann? I think the move that probably works best is horny back with malkin and Tanev up with Crosby. McCann centering third. Idk though, who knows what fetish Sid is craving right now.

Sid's fetishes have nothing to do with Tanev not being on Sid's line with him and Simon.

That's 100% Sully's fetishes.

Or more precisely, Sully's LUNACY.

Don't think so. Certainly saw nothing sustained. A few shifts with counters, but nothing sustained.

I’m praying so hard that Marino can play with a face shield and that Kahun is back next game and that Jake gets some of Ovi’s magic healing juice and that we actually can accomplish some solid trades...and that Schultz is one of them...if Carolina likes him, for god sake trade him there ASAP for Haula...

I dunno.
Sid's line was THAT bad for me that i prefer this.
I take the move toward 3 decent lines.
And hey, they gotta get McCann goin' here too and it ain't gonna be with Sid, thats for sure.
May end up with him @ 3C but here we are in phase 2.

Schultz is our worst defenseman even tonight. And thats with Dumo and future captain injured. So realistically I would rank Schultz as 8th dman on us. Sad.

are you referring to ZAR?...because I think he’s he’s healthy...and thank god for that...

You don't break what's working in the top 6 to fix what isn't. You tinker with your bottom 6 (Tanev).
