Pickard absolutely swimming in his net on that goal. Why are you almost in the corner on a basic zone entry. This is the guy people want to get more starts despite being even worse than Skinner in every way.

That's coaching not laying into guys and telling them to physically stop drop passing etc for the rest of the game etc. It's like no direction is given bc we have two generational players. Coffey is probably the opposite with the D

Pickard is clearly more consistent than Skinner, and he's also been a starter in the league before. I know the avs were awful that year but he has experience. I've always thought he was the oilers best goalie, even when the oilers signed Campbell. And he's cheap. He needs a bigger opportunity imo.
