If they do, I see them regretting it. I get such Marc Savard vibes from this kid. Another young center the team thought had plateaued, so they traded him in for a mystery box (Jamie Lundmark). His potential is significantly more valuable than what he'd return right now.
1) I dont see the comparable at all to Savard. In any way. Savard had much better junior numbers. Chytil never did really.

2) They wouldnt be trading him for some “mystery box”.

This is not an untouchable piece.

This. But the ridiculous amount of praise he got to start the season probably played a role too. I remember people saying he plays like a 5 year veteran or something when he looked like a rookie with potential.
At first, I could see that.

And then opponents figured out that they can just close the gap on his reach (classic boxing move) and he's not gonna body them.

I hate the internet toughness discourse but Miller really needs to learn how to shove guys. I'm not looking for him to be a killer, but he has to play more aggressive D. He's too long and he's going to be eaten alive if he lets guys get close to him.

This is a f***ing scrimmage.

Capitals have nothing to gain. Rangers at least can play for pride but everyone is skating like this is the first practice after the off season. I’d think they’d want to steal the win even though it doesn’t mean anything after all that energy in the first. Seems they just wanna go hone.

They know the season is over and the coach is done.

You are not being realistic if you do not think some guys in the NHL are scared to go with other guys. Even some of the toughest guys ever like Clarke Gillies and Bobby Nystrom had guys they were scared to go with. Barry Beck one of the toughest Rangers ever spoke of his fear after he retired as well. This is not professional wrestling. Sometimes guys face their fears but those fists can cause real damage.
Yup. Clark Gilles said that he usually fought terrified.
