The fire that makes Marchy so competitive, that has helped drive him to a successful bruins career and the 2011 cup, has 2 sides to it. We're obviously aware of him crossing the line in the past, but him being a hot head has brought way more Pro's than Con's. He is what he is, takes some dumb penalties. I wouldn't change it though
And until the last month that fire has helped the bruins far more than it has hurt.

The last month has been absolutely brutal from him.

I don't 100% disagree. I get it. But I think this narrative is over-hyped. How does losing your composure help you put the puck in the net? Seems to me that losing your composure certainly puts the player in the box.

But maybe there's a difference between having a competitive fire and being a hot head.

Whatever. But, when Marchand is gone there's going to be a LOT of crying about the total lack of passion we have.

there's no doubt he's frustrated, and frustrated Marchy isn't what we want. Angry Marchy can be awesome, can be a suspension waiting to happen too...

Hopefully he can regroup and turn the frustration into hard work, get back to the simple things and move forward from there... Wonder if he's 100% or if he's playing through something or just dealing with the setbacks his surgeries have caused...

I thought pasta looked frustrated at the end of 2024, he's more than turned it around since and has been an absolute beast.

Most of his passion in the past bit has been complaining about refs. It's like he posts on these boards.

I don't think Marchand is a good choice for captain. It's good to have players with this impulsiveness, but not as a captain. It could bring instability... perhaps Chara, 14 years old captain, is arriving to resolve this issue.
Ever hear of Bobby Clarke, Scott Stevens, or Chris Pronger? Those guys were all
really good at taking penalties....and were all captains.

I will say Pasta looked hurt and frustrated. Brad doesn't look hurt. Could be, but Pasta looked visibly injured until this month
