We need to stop making excuses for Ylonen. Brandon Gignac is on the fourth line and is noticeable in good ways.
Ylonen has been doing jack shit keeps getting blown off pucks and continues to lose board battles he's also doing little with his PP time.
Shoot out specialist is his current claim to fame.
I’ve given him the benefit of the doubt with the lack of playing time, but what’s frustrating about him is when he does get taken off the puck he hustles to regain/keep the puck like he should have in the first place, he has spurts, but very inconsistent. Can’t really blame MSL for that.

This should probably be the thread title

I get the feeling Captain Tsubasa is going to pull the "We want to compete" speech this summer.

Hughes is going to have to bolster the lineup considerably this summer.

How will he do that with all these terrible contracts eating cap space and roster spots? We won't be competing until Gallagher, Anderson, Dvorak, Allen etc. are gone

That's perfectly normal and I'm sure it's the same for Caufield, Slafkovsky, Dach, Guhle and Monty.

We have a bunch of young players on ELCs, he will need to be creative and stop hoarding dog shit.

Starting this summer, Dvorak, Armia and Allen will be in their final year which would make them easier to trade, especially at 50%.....well maybe except Armia but Laval might be more in his future.

Gallagher = A buyout is in his future, there's no way around it.
Probably one more season, then the buyout make sense (or LTIR)

Anderson.....I can live with, compare to Gallagher, he can still keep up with the game and still tradeable.

So one more season should do the trick.
