No. I was one of the one's who was crying about a very special player and character leaving, because I had built an affinity and connection with them.
I was also one of the ones who admitted I knew nothing about the players coming in, but am now saying they are very special players.
In fact, both Makar and Mack said almost exactly the same things (but they obviously knew of their talent beforehand).
I find it very strange (I'm old school), how people like you disconnect and brush away a player who's entertained & provided you with happiness for almost a decade now? But that's society & kids today. There's no loyalty and humans are fickle.
That said, I'd always put the club first, and I mean ALWAYS.
From what I've seen of Necas so far, he's been outstanding. A true beast / machine and think he'll fit PERFECTLY -not even to mention the salary cap benefits.
Doesn't mean I'll waive Rants from existence like he's worthless - he's given me so much enjoyment when life's been very hard at times.

Mikko did it first so yeah, I dont care for him. I also got very tired of his piss poor efforts on the boards and defensively.

Come on. Let's not pretend Rants isn't elite, just because he has left. People might say Kucherov, but in my view, he's the best right winger on the entire planet. I'll always love him, and what he provided to this club and our community.
But I'll tell you this. I sure as XXXX won't be supporting Carolina, or any other team when they face us. I hope we stomp them, just like I think we can stomp every other team in the entire league.
ESPECIALLY after seeing how great Necas and Drury are. Cmac has done it again !!

Well, I missed the first period, maybe I should do that more often. Then again I missed all three periods of the loss to Boston.
Good God what a piecemeal team the Blues are now. I can’t even keep up. I totally forgot they have Suter, Fowler, Broberg, and Faksa. And I don’t even know who that Tucker guy is.
What I did see, Avs looked mostly in control, some bad defensive breakdowns again but Blackwood was up to the task.
Manson looked pretty solid from what I saw. Toropchenko—not a little guy by any means—tried muscling his way past 42 late in the game and Manson mashed him into the boards. That’s what I like to see.
They got way too cute on the power play again but the puck movement is so much better. They just gotta shoot sooner. Admittedly I didn’t see the first two goals scored on the man advantage so I’m not complaining too much.

Went to bed listening to the 1st. Turned it off and fell asleep at intermission a little disappointed that I'd be missing a complete rout.
Woke up to find they only scored one more the rest of the way.
Still, 5 goals and a shutout for Blackwood isn't a bad night.

That was the motivated Avalanche we know. We absolutely killed them. This is how prime Avalanche would overwhelm opponents by relentless effort.
When this team is motivated, they are good. That's the key. This team was coasting for couple months now(other than goaltenders). We need to keep this up. The work ethic and the motivation. Coasting needs to end.
