They’re playing better because they realize the wildcard position is in danger now. It’s getting closer for the Avs to find themselves out of the playoffs. This team always needs some kind of motivation to play well, I guess not missing the playoffs should be a pretty good motivation

I'm still bitter I didn't get to see him with Rantanen. It's kinda like getting Crosby but not playing him with MacKinnon. Not to that extent but you get the idea.

Hopefully, losing out on JT Miller means CMac can focus on fixing the defence of this team which has been an issue for the whole season. Forward group will fix itself once they get healthy. D-coprs needs actually better players.

I really think he's getting the short end with Middleton and De Haan. He was playing perfect for like 30 games. Evrrytime he 'has a mistake' I can look back to a poor play by someone else on the ice. He has to be held accountable too. But it seems early to jettison him imo.

I think the top line looks awesome, and Necas has brought a different look to it. He can bring the puck in as well as MacKinnon, that opens up new possibilities.

But my point stands. This team has played different today, and it doesn't have anything to do with Necas specifically. Everyone has elevated their game.

I love the way he can make the other team completely forget about MacK.

That's rare.. Dude can draw 4 or 5 guys while Nathan MacKinnon is on the ice. It's ridiculous lol.
