Not sure why you would think that.

The 2022 Oilers were a top tier team. I can only think of the 2023 Oilers and 2024 Oilers as stronger teams of the modern era.

And top 10 of all time after the 84 Oilers, 85 Oilers, 87 Oilers, 88 Oilers, and 90 Oilers. And the 77 Habs.

St Louis would not be able to beat a literal dynasty.

Bednar’s head is spinning when he has to decide who to put on that 3rd pair, de Haan or Middleton, not to mention he’s not really happy with Malinski’s game either.
