I'm such an idiot, but I obsess on stupid shit like movies where folks fire 926 bullets from a 9mm without ever reloading...let alone having showed them lugging around a gazillion clips previously. Well that's nothing new. Every game should be treated like it's a playoff game to some extent. That's why I understand folks saying we need to upgrade Mitts before the playoffs.

I just don't think things work this way. I want immediate reactions, but we aren't tradint Mitts less than a year after spending Bo Byrum on him unless we are absolutely getting a top center on a good deal. We've just sunk entirely too many assets here and need to stop the bleeding at other areas first. Mitts can and has been good. Just like Kadri was and had been good prior to our cup run. At some point you have to extend some faith to the guy you spent a boat load on and just go about fixing the rest of the team. Chemistry and just a better balanced team should all contribute to taking the weight off of Casey's mind... and I still believe this is a mental block he's going to break through. If he doesn't by the time the playoffs are over, I'll reconsider but until then, I think we really need to concentrate on trying to get Manson or Girard knocked to the third pair. I think we have a better chance at getting someone to push Manson down. After that, we really need to know excactly what is going on with Nuke and Gabe. We just got a 3C capabile of doing everything we want/need, except Bednar likes him on the fourth line.

I absoultely understand why Bednar is feeling heat. What I don't understand is why CMac didn't apply it any sooner. Is this a result of Sakic putting pressure on CMac?
