I think the Bruins had the expectation that McAvoy would continue to develop into an outstanding, elite defenseman when they gave him that contract. Unfortunately his development seems to have stalled, maybe permanently.

As I have said before, I support the crest on the front, not the nameplate on the back. I have a ton of Bruins jerseys with names on the back, but would never buy another one. I support them all and hope they play to their max, but if they can be traded to upgrade the team do it.

In addition to lacking creativity many of the forwards are neither fast nor quick - they consistently get beat to the puck by half a stride
