First a disclaimer - I really like Charlie McAvoy

But please- the pp has improved since he was out. Lohrei does two key aspects better- he shoots and he keeps more pucks in the offensive zone ...both of which result in much needed motion on a very stagnant powerplay

Putting Charlie back as the power play quarterback when the easy answer was "Charlie we want to ease you back in and manage your minutes" suggests a number of answers - none of which are good
-Sacco really thinks Charlie is a better QB
-Sacco can't deliver a tough but fair message
- the players are running decisions on who plays when
-the front office needs to make sure their high-paid dman sees a lot of ice as soon as he is back

Whichever it is - I see this as just another example of how the Bs culture that we have known and loved seems to be withering away little by little

Sacco just wants to hang on. Boston born and bred, he's fine being a HC or an Assistant Coach. He's got a good job here, probably didn't want the gig but
couldn't refuse it. IF they hire someone else after the season I'll bet he once again hangs on as an Assistant Coach.

I actually think his defensive play has improved immeasurable throughout the season. Now he'll never be a Rod Langway, but his positioning is getting better and his stick work is as good as any bruin outside of Carlo.

It is getting better but I think it hasn’t been immeasurable. In reality I’d like to see his d zone play improve drastically sometimes he still looks lost on that end of the ice. I do think he is the best PP qb on the team. Puck movement alone showed me that but so didn’t zone time and quality of chances. I just feel this team is afraid to hurt feelings of veteran guys like McAvoy and it pisses me off.
