BRUINS GDT GAME 53 7:08 PM - WINTERPEG IS COMING - NESN, ESPN+, TSN 3, 98.5 WBZ-FM

Lohrei looks better because he is better, and so is the PP. The more time he continues to get with that first unit, the even more they would jell. Terrible decision by Sacco, almost nearly as bad as sitting Marchand in Over-Time.

He has 5 pp point in the last 20 games. Hardly lighting the world on fire and no PP goals all season.

He is not an upgrade over Charlie sorry. Maybe Having a stiff like Coyle rolling out on a pp may have something to do with it.

You've actually been watching the games and came to this conclusion ?
You posted the pp % in trying to prove your point. 5points in 20 games is one that you can use as well,

Come up with a new line on watching the games coment son, its been beaten to death.

Well Im glad Charlie back, but am shocked Sacco replacing Lohrei at PP1

Im glad he's back, let Mason spend more time on how to play hockey in his own end. Cant hide him forever.

I truly wish this kid is what you folks think he is offensivly because he needs to put up a ton of points to make up for how bad a defensman he is.

Not the case at all. I just been watching the games and to me its more than apparent the PP is much better and more dangerous with Lohrei, statically better or not, but in this case the statistics don't lie, imo.

With that said watch McAvoy fire in 2 pp goals tonight. Lol
Which would be good.

Bruins are night and day better at home this season so this could be a good game

Looking at the average goals scored per game, Winnipeg should win 3.5 to 2.7 , but Bruins have been much better at home
..if they have ANY pride they'll put up a good fight tonight

Bruins win 4.2 to 3.4

I actually think his defensive play has improved immeasurable throughout the season. Now he'll never be a Rod Langway, but his positioning is getting better and his stick work is as good as any bruin outside of Carlo.

Now put up all the shift changes and personal changes with they scored to improve that number. You could score 3 goals out of you next 12 and make that number jump.

Lohrei, is not the reason the % went up.
I don't care what the stats say the eye test says Lohrei is better running that pp then McAvoy .Eventually the numbers will come.Charlie don't shoot enough.

McAvoy running PP1  Square peg, round hole, but I guess $9.5m AAV demands he plays in that role.
Its assassin it really is, but thats the only reason that makes any kind of sense, but then again this is the coach who benched the Bruins all time leader and third most ever in the history of the NHL in Overtime goals against a divisional rival who your battling for a playoff spot, so Im not totally convinced on that being his sole reason.

Bruins are currently 30th out of 32 teams on the PP.

Hasn't really been much better with Lohrei. Brazeau still 2nd on the team in PP goals.

Fair point for sure, but to my viewing, the PP has run more smoothly and Lohrei seems to have better instincts in that area than McAvoy. Additionally, I believe Lohrei is our likely PP QB of the future, while McAvoy has shown that it is not really his strong suit, and so why not let the guy that will eventually do the job start now? If you aren't buying that, I will say that it hasn't been worse with Lohrei at the helm, and that is some minutes per night that McAvoy doesn't need to eat and that is helpful as well.

I want the Bruins to outdo Washington last year, sell at the deadline & then somehow make the playoffs with a -50 goal differential.

...............uh. ok.

The reasoning is interesting considering the Bruins drop the freaken puck back in their own zone to pasta or whoever to try gain speed to get an entry. Its been frustrating to watch at times because Lohrei beats a guy then drops it back. Teams read this an adjust accordingly, So im not really buying his reasoning here. Unless their changing up the entry, not that Lohrei couldn't do that,

I remember that game with the Thrashers horton/kane & Ference/Stewart. What bothered me about the Stewart Ference bout was Stewart was initially locked up with looch and when Looch clocked Myer he immediately let looch go and found Ference as a dancing partner.
