Smith seems like a nice dude and a good teammate and I've tried really hard not to be too critical of him on the boards but this guy is just exhausting with his on ice blunders.

It’s actually sad to see respectable NHL players fall like that. Same with Staal. At this point my sympathy for Smith far outweighs my frustration with him.

My high school hockey coach had an ex-ref come by to give us some speech, and he said that pro sports are about two things: "entertainment and competition"
Who embodies those two things more than Tom Wilson? The NHL is blessed he didn't get hurt in that scrum, allowing him to return to the ice to spread entertainment and competitive cheer for the final 10 minutes.

What powerless? They all jumped in against a goon that should be out of the league, thus negating the requirement for any of our own goons.
Must’ve missed the part where our guys were physically restrained by caps as tom wilson picked up our superstar and smashed his head into the ice repeatedly. No shot wilson would ever try that against barzal/the isles for instance. That was a heinous display of aggression towards a team with no answer.

We will continue to shed anchor defenseman every season thinking we're finally good until this franchise is buried beside Jim Dolan as a part of a Mayan burial ceremony. Shattenkirk leaving didn't help. Staal leaving didn't help. Johnson's Rangers career ending didn't help. Somehow Smith-Hajek out next year won't do it either.

Can’t wait to see what idiot starts something with Wilson only to have 43 then get frustrated and retaliate disproportionately.

Chytil not taking the body on the forecheck there is reason #whatever that I don’t think he’ll ever become an impact player. Learned too much from Kreider. All the physical tools that I don’t want to use. I’d rather play like Panarin even though I’m a freight train.
