-I really like Kovalenko. I can’t tell if he’s going to be a fantastic 4th liner or a scoring 3rd liner but I love the mix of hustle, skill and speed. Really likable player and just always noticeable.

-I feel like Will Smith is looking better and better every game.

-Georgiev isn’t having a good period.

-The physical game of the 4th line was actually really helping in the earlier part of the game, I want them to get back to that. I like Duehr or whatever his name is.

Was that the first full Celebrini PK shift? I kinda assumed we wouldn't get that until next year.

yeah he has a prime PKer skillset, great stick, great awareness. quick, committed, but maybe they don't want him blocking too many shots this early in his career.

It was inevitable that he would end up on the PK at some point, but PKing is really tough on the body. Was kinda hoping we'd give it a season or two before deploying him there, but I can definitely see Mack in Warsofsky's ear, chomping at the bit to get PK time. I want to say that Eklund started PKing at around this time last season, so maybe this was always the target.

3rd and 4th lines not doing so well five on five but not surprising given the opponent. Sharks need a lot of help but especially on a blue line that’s bleeding goals at the depth level like they are here. I hope they’re pretty aggressive with changing over the blue line next season.

well i dunno if you can ask will smith to defend against them.
in theory all 3 of celebrini, eklund and toffoli can make a play against elite pressure. though oddly eklund has seemed a bit off lately.

Do you care more about Celebrini getting points or Celebrini learning from the player we hope he can become in a few years? Yeah, Mack will struggle against the best two-way center in the league, but who cares? We're thinking long-term development, not Calder trophy.
