GDT: Game 52: Red Wings at flames 10:00 pm et 2/1/25

I feel like that with every game I watch. The refs let crazy stuff go and then call some chintzy thing that maybe wasn't even a penalty for reasons? The other night I caught the end of I think a Tampa game and there were two different plays where a guy was blatantly boarded and the refs just let it go. It was crazy to me.

Agreed.

I'm ok with the Kasper penalty, up until Larkin gets taken down nowhere near the puck and they don't call interference.

It's not the most... physical game I've ever watched.

I was shocked the Flames didn't play a checking game against the Wings, but they'll take it. (The Nucks will look to hit early tonight.)

Tank needs to be in the press box. At this point, I'd rather have Shine out there than him. Unsure what is going on, but he is a shell of his former self. They just can't keep playing him in the hopes he improves. A big difference between a slump and diminished skills.

He better have priority over Fischer and Motte at least. I'd bench Tarasenko to keep Elmer playing. Tank could use some tough love and a wake up call.

I'd play Shine over any of these 3 or at least 2 of the 3 (Tank and Motte). He brings that hard working, check everything, high energy, responsible play that can ignite a team.

Blom-Ras-Burger are really playing well together.


My interest is in the top 6 forwards. I can't see the Kasper-Larkin-Raymond line being broken up. Does that mean it is Cat-Compher-Kane? I assume it does (with Kane taking back his PP1 role). I think the Raz line is #3 and Copp should center Shine and .pick'em pal (JV, Fischer or Motte).

On D the top 4 are now set. Does Petry bump Holl? ( I think he does.)


This game .... Shine with his 1st NHL point. I like it.

How many EN goals does Copp have out of his ten? 5? Lol and I know he has some deflections too. How many actual goals does he have? Lol

He stole DBC’s empty net goal last night.

In the military Copp would be named the blue falcon. He’s a buddy f***er.

They seemed to have started to, but then Elmer pasted someone and Mo started to get into angry mode a little...and they seemed to back down and be a little choosier of when they hit whom...

In the military Copp would be named the blue falcon. He’s a buddy f***er.

The puck was heading in, but...as a coach I would have cut slack on Copp for that one to get the sure EN rather than trying to run interference on the Flames player trying to get there in time (Kadri I think, he threw his stick, so the ref could have awarded the goal to DBC)

I was interested in knowing if the last shot was a buzzer beater or not...they waived it off, but I am sure it would have been reviewed to keep the bettors happy, have not seen a replay, so I assume there is no change.
