Seriously, though, the lack of any comment on goaltending is concerning. That's why I ask - I'm not sure if Bowman just typically keeps his cards extremely close to the vest. Doesn't have a lot of assets to play with, so any edge helps.

Have to make a move soon, as the trade floodgates have opened early.
 
Minny getting curb stomped by the Sens...just some "you hate to see it but love to see it" things
 
oilers got close enough in this game to not draw attention to the goalie situation again

Most of us love the Oilers, we're die hard fans, but just because this team has some issues, it doesn't make you a hater. Skinner is a young-ish, inconsistent goalie. When he's on, he's very good, unfortunately he's had too many questionable goals, and a few too many off-nights. Will he get to the next level, become more consistent, and grow into a true number 1? who knows, maybe. For now, he's a 2.6 million goalie, and he's more than worth that $$$. One thing, we should all agree on, Skinner will have to be at his best, for this team to win with him, this year, as a whole, has not been good enough.


Bouchard WAS GREAT last year, an amazing year, based off last season, he's a 10 million dollar D man. This year, he's not been very good, way too many give aways, not smooth with the puck like he was. Missing the net, not getting shots through, etc. Young D often go through peaks and valleys, let's hope this is just a valley, and he comes back to where he was.

For the most part, this has been a GREAT season so far, and most of us can agree that this team is not firing at all cylinders right now. Many guys are capable of more, when they get it going, they will be even better.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows and it's also not all doom and gloom. This is a good team, with a few issues, I believe they can and will get it together. It's never as bad as it seems, or as good as we remember, but I do feel this team is way more good, than it is bad.

PS - when i started this, it was 4 to 1, now it's 4-3.

I’m fine thank you. Having some health struggles with my mom since right before Christmas, but things seem to be under control now plus prepping for a big move so it’s just been a little crazy and had to drop a few things to keep my sanity.
