GDT: GAME 52: Anaheim Emilio Estevezes (20-23-6) at YOUR SEATTLE KRAKEN (22-26-3)

Jeez that rebound back into the slot...

Even with Seattle currently controlling the run of play, it still feels like any single Anaheim shot could go past Grubauer or become a big fat rebound.

Burakovsky attempts to carry the puck into the offensive zone one on three

Defender easily pokes the puck off Burakovsky's stick, catching the Kraken flatfooted as play immediately pivots the other direction

Crap I just thought of one...

Kraken take a timeout and draw up an elaborate play

Immediately lose the draw

A lack of intensity, too many boneheaded plays, an inability to generate high end scoring chances....this was one of those games where I wonder just how much effort they were committed to put into it. Not much, it looks like.

Not an intelligent call by the coaching staff to start Joey in a scheduled loss and than send out Grubauer(for the first time in some time) against the Ducks.

But hey, them draft odds...

I legitimately think Bylsma thinks both these games are winnable, that Daccord gives him the best chance to steal one against Edmonton and then "hey okay Grubauer against the Ducks and we'll cross our fingers". It's the same logic that has him running Stephenson on the PP down two goals and on the "empty net" unit. Despite the "look at what a great job he did with the kids" bill of sale when he was brought in, he's just another "play vets every possible chance you get" goober.

Got to go to the game. When they announced grubauer was starting I knew I would get a ducks win with how they’ve been scoring lately. I was expecting garbage hockey which we got but wasn’t expecting ten goals! I will say that Gru did make a highlight reel of saves at one point but I know the ducks hit the post at least three times too so typical Gru. Can we start trading players and play the kids yet??

Well, he's a coach and needs wins first as well.
Especially since the guy above him is most likely under pressure as well and probably not willing to throw in the towel before there's no chance at all anymore.

Anyways, this teams just not good even though the Kraken are one of the top spending teams in the whole league.

Playing the kids and letting them play would probably give us a better chance of winning than playing Burakovsky and Stephenson constantly lol
