GDT: Game 52/82 Blues @ Avs 8PM CST FDSNMW

No, we would need to be 1 or 2.
But if we end up at 5 I wouldn't be surprised if we got some "luck" in the lottery.

If McQueen’s back injury isn’t something serious, I’d definitely take a strong look at him too. I might like him more than Desnoyers actually.

Right now, the only guys on the team with an ounce of heart are Dingo and the empty husk of Brayden Schenn.
Compete level is extremely high on my list of priorities in this draft.

McQueen can get hot-headed at times, but he's a "skill" guy more than a real Pitbull.
Desnoyers and Martone are the guys I really want. They both have the "dog on bone" mentality that I think we need.

* Stenberg should improve that area also, but a LOT more is needed.

I want us to draft somebody mean.

There are too many nice guys on this team.

Being classy is great but you can have too much of anything.

Well... there is nothing left to say. It has all be said already. It just a few more months of pain. I just hope Army finally accepts that the team is in a rebuild. Fully embrace the youth movement and don't go chasing bargain bin trades and FAs again. If nothing else this locker room needs some fresh energy that hopefully the kids can provide.

He has been a steady riser since the beginning of the year. There was a time where he was projected in the mid to late teens. Now there are some who have him going top5. I have him anywhere from 6-9 right now.

In the 4-10 bracket.
Probably closer to #4 than to #10.

Anywhere from 6-13

Top 6. Maybe as high as 4.

Thanks, I would have felt better with 8-12 than possibly top 4.

Yeah its hard to get a read after the top 3. (Schaefer, Hagens and Misa) You could make arguments about the next 10 landing anywhere from 3-13. There have been guys I don't like that other posters are excited about and vice versa. There does however seem to be a consensus on Desnoyers, pretty much everyone would be happy with that pick.

I’m with you. We need way more team toughness, but with skill. I guess the high compete level term is what they throw around. But, I agree, we need lots more of it.

I mean, it's probably his NIL agent. I'm sure Snuggy is fun to watch but I'd take that statement with a grain of salt.

I was so optimistic just a couple weeks ago. Oh well. The tank is on.

Here comes the tank!

Most of our remaining games this year are against playoff and bubble teams, and imagine if have a couple injuries? We are already thin. This could finally be the real tank year

Let's! Go! Tank!

Does the prize contain a top 5 pick?

I'm generally not on team tank, but this season is lost. We need more high-end talent. I want top 5 pick. Or higher.

The tank is on boys! Lets go!!

Desnoyers is going to look great as our #1C

Desnoyers - Thomas - Dvorsky

That’s how you build a winning team

blow it up ... start digging in the minors

So its ok to want to tank NOW. How much shit have I been given all season for wanting to tank (not necessarily from those quoted)?!?!?! But now its cool to say we should tank lol. We've had trains all season, but y'all finally getting onboard.

Go back to week 2 and you’ll see I was already in tank mode lmao, but I have flip flopped a few times

Whelp that was rough. Our goaltending once again gave up a goal in the first five minutes of a game and our PK couldn't stop a beach ball. Tough for me to get down on the team when we don't get any saves, it's gotta be demoralizing at this point. We've come out of the gate well a couple of times during this losing streak, but in all four games we've been down 1-0 before seven minutes into the first period. Simply inexcusable goaltending.

As for the other things I wanted to see, Bolduc did not get to play with Thomas at all, but Texier did, and in fact got more minutes in tonight's game then Bolduc has had in a single game all season. Texier did almost nothing but turn the puck over and took a stupid minor penalty to boot. He did have one nice stick lift on Makar and set up Buch for his best chance of the game, so he's probably fine for another game or two on that line.

Holloway did not get to play Center. It's time to break up the Holloway/Schenn/Kyrou line, they've scored two 5v5 goals in their last six games. We can't put our two best wingers together and get that kind of production.

Broberg did not get to play on the PP, which is dumb. He did however get top pairing minutes and frankly looked good. He can really skate.

I think Colten Ellis needs a call up and I think we should really think about sending Hofer down. I'm not sure if he's waivers-exempt, but if he is, we should perhaps get him some games to rebuild his confidence. He's been abysmal this season, he gave up five goals on a little over three expected, which is probably going to drop his GSAx down past negative five on the season.

Ok, off to bed, hopefully when I wake up we will have somehow cloned 25 year old Alex Pietrangelo and we might not suck for the next three years as well.

I really don't like Hofer but even I can say that the first goal was 200% not on him. That was a combination of freak luck and skill and there's not much any goalie could have done aside from pure luck in stopping it.

Finally! 4 in a row!

I think there is a difference between punting on season before it starts and accepting reality when it is clear the playoff chase is lost. We have learned a lot about some of our kids- the Offer Sheet Boys are keepers- and seen progress there. The rest of the season we need to look solely to player development and not focus on wins, IMO. Perhaps we should have reached that conclusion sooner, but this is where we’re at.
