I'm not talking about this season. This season is gone. I'm looking at next year and beyond. Brandon Carlo at his best is a very good 2RD. At his worst though he's horrendous. It's not so much about Carlo particularly. I think the defense as a whole needs to change and the wider leadership group needs some different voices in it. Replacing Carlo with a different player strikes me as being a potentially effective way to tick both those boxes. Getting the right one, of course, is the challenge.
