You're asking for him to defy physics. He has mere fractions of a second to make that move. No-one is that fast.

The one thing he could have done is pre-empt. Essentially guess where he thinks the shot is going and react accordingly before it's off Thompson's stick. Which of course might work, or equally might not. Instead Sway simply took the middle and waited. Nothing too unusual about that.

I think you're generally a very fair poster on this board. Just think you're asking too much here. That was a seriously great shot by a very good hockey player. Sometimes all you can do is tip your hat and acknowledge a great play.

It's not defying physics at all. Again not faulting him for the goal and I'm not saying it was a bad goal. It was going to be a very hard save..... but those are the saves you need from your #1 netminder. That's why he got the contact he did, because he's capable of making that save when 90% of the NHL isn't.

If he's asked about it, I bet you he says he needs to have that one.
