I just saw 2 guys battling for position. I think the misconduct is an overreaction by refs who don't want to deal with anything remotely spicy today
I think it was purely intentional and a grimy play by Gryz. I have no hate or ill wishes for the guy either. I just think this was a dirty and intentional play. He got heated and did something stupid.

Nobody would have stormed the beach at Normandy had they known we’d be paying 27 dollars for salad and having fashion contests during intermission

Jokes aside. I think they were doing it for their families and country and still would do it again if given the choice.

Imagine working with Messier during intermission!? All time legend but dull analyst, I’d rather watch paint dry
That’s why Biz is there too. While others claim something political or racial, it’s not. They like have one colorful guy around analyst, so if it’s not Biz it’s Subban. Much like Romo he can get into talking too much

That is the issue. How many majors have been called for that in the past 10 years. Generally 2 minutes for slashing and allow the DoPS to handle any further.
I think intent and the amount of carelessness involved matters. On the "high-sticking" scale this falls into the 2 or 4 minutes category.

Major and a game? That's a pretty severe penalty reserved for serious ill-intent and the almost-maiming hits from behind. This wasn't Marchand on Dotchin as far as a stick to the balls. This was, missing the tie-up and hitting the balls.
