No assists on the Appleton goal (per NHL site). Should there be an assist or did too much happen in between the point shot and the goal? It was a shot from the point, rebound off the goalie, to Backlund who swiped it right onto Apples stick.

I think I would like there to be an assist, but I don't know exactly what the NHL's criteria is for awarding an assist.
