To be fair to McLellan it was obvious that him and Chiarelli were never on the same page and I blame that more on Chiarelli as it has come out that Chiarelli acted in isolation quite a bit. It wasn’t surprising though I remember watching Chiarelli interviews and I continually thought “Is this guy watching the same team as me”.

But McLellan has a pretty long track record of just not being able to get it done in the playoffs. His lack of in-series adjustments are pathetic. Guy seems stubborn and stuck to his systems. He can instill structure in a regular season though.
