I think he's a better penalty killer and thats why hes in the lineup. If Gauthier was better at that he'd be there. Thats the only reason Howden plays and Gauthier doesn't, because Howden adjusted his game to fit a role and Gauthier is trying unsuccessfully to score his way into a roster spot while taking some bad penalties along the way. Until he figures out hes a bottom 6 but more likely a bottom 3 player who needs to use his size and speed for defense he won't be a roster player, its pretty simple.
