I mean not great for Fox to get beat there but that's hugely on the forwards for not picking up Pasternak and Lindgren for stationing himself at the far post and starring

watch other teams and someone would have had Pasternak's stick and been leaning on him so he couldn't get a clean shot like that. Other teams pay attention to detail and take away space

Rangers float and only engage once someone has the puck (maybe)
Agreed. Fox shouldn’t lose that battle against Poitras, but the center is going behind the net to chase which he shouldn’t have. That was the bigger problem.

I assume if we end up with 13OA, Drury will almost certainly use the pick? Is there precedent for a team waiving their right to a protected pick, or do they just always use it?

Never heard of a team doing that actually. I think if it’s 13 they absolutely use it. Better draft next year but I’d be shocked if the NYR get a higher pick in 2026

I was wondering that. If we miss the playoffs and the pick is 13 or higher, can we chose to give it to Van (Pit) and keep our 2026 knowing we'll probably be tanking lol

Our 4th line shouldn't be matched up against Pastas line at any time.Get their asses off the ice as soon as possible when it happens

I never read any details on the protection, but that's how it's always worded I believe. We would have the option of letting Vancouver have the pick or making it ourselves.

I just don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for us to suck again if we're running it back with this same core; Miller or not.
