Kucherov is a monster. we would all love to have him on our RW and yes any player would be available for him but Fox. so he's drunk half the time he's also an MVP candidate and depending on who you ask, the frontrunner.

You say this like it's a bad or questionable thing, which it isn't. If high-drafted 18-year-olds who are tracking to become multimillionaires by their mid-20s don't know how to take a hit coming into the NHL, so be it. Obviously youth hockey programs need to prioritize protecting the long-term wellbeing of these 12- to 14-year-olds rather than preparing the 0.001% of them for an NHL future lining up against guys who might want to mash their brains into their skulls
Sorry you took it that way... but I wasn't stating an opinion. Just stating facts.
I completely understand and agree with why they keep raising the age of hitting in youth hockey.
That said, the side effect is young NHL players getting blown up by turning away from contact along the boards, or simply not keeping their heads up when carrying the puck.
My guess is that hitting goes away in the NHL at some point. The youth programs are no longer preparing these players for that type of game, and major NHL injuries aren't uncommon because of it.
