Injured Alex Galchenyuk listed as "week-to-week" by Coyotes
Galchenyuk, who had a history of knee injuries while in Montreal, suffered the latest injury during the Coyotes’ 4-2 pre-season win over the Los Angeles Kings last Tuesday. Galchnyuk scored two goals in the game.

Sabres, Coyotes not used to winning in October
The Coyotes (1-2) know what that's like. They started 0-10-1 last season, effectively putting them out of the playoff race before Halloween, and they are 4-18-1 in October in the past three seasons.

But Coyotes have had dominating stretches in all three games this season, outshooting their opponents 110-70, and they were rewarded Wednesday with a 3-2 shootout road win over the Anaheim Ducks. Dylan Strome scored the team's first goal of the season

Christian Dvorak is out indefinitely

Coyotes center Christian Dvorak is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a torn pectoral, the club announced Friday.
Dvorak suffered the injury while rehabbing a separate, lower-body injury last week.

Coyotes continue record pace, score two shorthanded goals at Flyers
When the chips are stacked against them, the Arizona Coyotes seem to get better.
Entering play Thursday, the Coyotes had scored seven shorthanded goals through 13 games.

Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun to play Tuesday
Chychrun has been recovering from offseason knee surgery and started the season on injured reserve, and despite showing signs of unusually fast recovery, the team erred on the sign of caution and stuck to a normal timetable of rehabilitation.

Jason Demers out for season after suffering knee injury
Demers was skating in front of the Coyotes’ net when he and Kyle Turris made contact. Demers fell down and slid toward his own net and collapsed when he tried to get up. He stayed on the ground for several moments and needed help getting off the ice.

Blackhawks trade Schmaltz to Coyotes
The Chicago Blackhawks traded Nick Schmaltz to the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday night for Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini in a swap involving three former first-round picks.

Raanta likely to miss rest of season for Coyotes

The goalie has missed the past five games with a lower-body injury. He had a procedure Saturday that revealed more extensive damage than was anticipated.

Arizona Coyotes' win streak ends with loss to reigning Capitals
The Arizona Coyotes had a chance on Thursday to extend their win streak to five games — and same for rookie goaltender Adin Hill — against the Washington Capitals.

Instead, the Coyotes failed to do what they had already done once against the Capitals this year. They lost, giving up a late, deciding goal to make it 3-2

Nick Schmaltz scored 33 seconds into overtime and the Arizona Coyotes rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat the skidding Anaheim Ducks 5-4 on Saturday night.

Nick Schmaltz injury update: Coyotes lose center for rest of season

Arizona announced Tuesday that Schmaltz would be out for the year after suffering a lower-body injury. He has not played in a game since Dec. 30.

Coyotes Try to End Losing Streak

The loss Thursday continued a rollercoaster season for the Coyotes (13-15-2), whose current skid – all four losses have come in regulation – was preceded by a four-game winning streak. And right before that, Arizona lost four straight (0-3-1).

Arizona Coyotes getting excellent production from Conor Garland

Garland has been in exceptional form for a team that has struggled to score at times this season, quickly climbing the Arizona Coyotes scoring table after just 16 games.

Coyotes center Brad Richardson heads to IR with hand injury

Richardson marks only the latest in a series of injuries that have hindered the Coyotes this season.

Arizona Coyotes trade for Flyers' Jordan Weal to bolster forward depth

Weal, 26, has nine points in 28 games with the Flyers this season and will bolster the Coyotes’ center position, which has been depleted with injuries.

Coyotes 2 Points out of Playoff Picture

The Arizona Coyotes have a 23-23-4 record at the All-Star break, giving them 50 points in the standings.

That puts them just two points out of a wildcard playoff berth in the Western Conference.

Oliver Ekman Larsson Will Likely Miss 3 Weeks
Losing the 27-year-old would be a significant blow to the Coyotes, who enter the break just two points out of a playoff spot and have already been crushed by injuries all year.

I think that lineup is plausible. It’s like trying to rearrange a room full of ikea furniture. It doesn’t really matter where you put it, it is still ikea furniture.

Looking forward to tonight, boys, so I can post about hockey. I'm tired of Legend getting torqued over air cars. Every closed thread is like a lost future in urban transit.:naughty:

LeBrun's article in The Athletic about Tocchet was very positive. Perhaps I was wrong about him. It will be interesting how he makes up for the loss of OEL tonight, as his system works far better with OEL on the ice moving the puck. It will also be interesting how Tocchet reintegrates the returning players over the course of the rest of the season.
