It also seems that whenever we are in the lead, our goalies will just let in anything from anywhere.

David Perron is Steve Staios's worst mistake as GM of this team and it's not even close.

His assist on Grieg's goal was pretty timely. Let's see what he has to offer moving forward. He's kind of half a season behind in terms of pace of game. He may come around.

5 goals, zero 5-on-5. This team don't do 5-on-5.

At least we scored a good amount of goals but is it like forbidden to score at 5v5? Is Green telling them "I want nothing to happen at 5 on 5 but want you to go all in on the special units!"

I mean, it might sound silly but these days it feels like we produce more good scoring chances on the PK than 5 on 5 when you consider the time ratio.... it's weird.

Tkachuk, Stutzle and Batherson have been lucky that the team is not SINKING during their "disappearing act". They need to wake up and carry this team. At some point you need your best players...

Frankly, and no disrespect to DJ Smith who looks like a great guy but they finally seem to have professional NHL coaching. You could see already some bad habits being progressively fixed when Jacques Martin took over last season and now that enough time has passed with NO DJ DORION HOCKEY, they are finally in a better position to succeed.

There's no way Steve Staios doesn't trade for a RHD before the trade deadline right? Patience has it's limits right?

I don't know but Jensen is expected to return soon. Will they really sit Hamonic when he's back or Matinpalo? There's also JBD who should be back in a month? I hope we add some offensive punch to get things rolling 5 v 5. The defense is perfect as long as everyone is healthy and Hamonic is not playing.

A physical RHD like Gudas wouldn't be a bad thing but I don't think we can afford his cap hit and to also spend assets after Dorion dilapidated them for years. Staios must know that he really has to rebuild the whole pipeline.

Wish we were more than 3 points clear of the biggest threat to the last playoff position (I consider that Det due to Boston playing two more games) but its also extra fun being only 4 points back of 2nd. We are winning and playing good hockey consistently and we aren't even scoring like we can.

Batherson to me is the most underachieving Sne, team is winning regularly but he isn’t noticeable.

1 goal and 7 points in his last 21 games.amd nothing in the middle of the ice

I’d trade him for JT Miller

I suspect he's just worn down. He looked like he was skating in quicksand last weekend. His skating looked better last night.

Really? I find him always engaged, ge just is either missing the net or they as a team aren't driving the middle, but I love his zone entries and the pressure he puts on defenders.

You never fail to be petty, even on a night like this.

I honestly didn’t mean to be petty. It’s just frustrating that this board and its groupthink has hammered on Norris even though he is one of our best goal scorers, most trusted defensive centre and has played physical. This guy has suffered through failed surgery and long absences and needs time to get back to his game. The guy along with Pinto are critical to becoming a contender.

Now go get Stu a winger Staios !!!!!

Forsberg got caught cheating the pass on the first goal and wasn’t great overall. Perfect to get the win and have no doubts about starting Ullmark Saturday coming off a long absence.
