Sad Shawn Simpson won’t be here for the playoffs and to see the full turnaround.

Sens nation having a tough week - but we got these players to help us escape and find a couple hours of fun. But it’ll be a watching with a heavy heart.

Sens making the playoffs seems more
Important now then ever with the Simmer news - not that NHL hockey takes precedent over family or health - but these guys can bring lots of happiness to this city and 2025 would be a good time for that to happen, and when they raise the Cup I’ll raise a fist for Simmer and be thankful he was there during the dark years to bring us a smile when the Sens smiles were few and far between

I wonder what time the team arrived in Washington; was it before or after the plane crash? Was it a different airport? The plane apparently carried a few figure skaters. Sad and scary stuff.

edit: ignore the above, I have lost my mind and I thought the game was in Washington.

Winning this game (in regulation) increases our odds of making the playoffs by 0.96%, but losing decreases our odds by 11.14%.

Statistics don't make sense to me, and this further reinforces my decision to not take it in university.
I did take Stats in University (one course) and it had a few positive impacts on me; one being that it taught me not to gamble as the odds were against me. :)

I dont want to say this is a big game because it has been the smallest game in a while thanks to some losses due to those below us but with the Leafs on a bit of a loosing streak it makes me really want this one turn that 6 points behind to 4, make em start to sweat.

They're all pretty big games from here on out tbh.

We ideally want to win around 20 of our games remaining, which is about a .600 pace for the rest of the season, and gets us to 94 pts.

If they can be arsed to maintain a .700 pace, that's an extra 2 wins to get us to 98.

Over the last 10, we've played at a .750 pace, so the guys clearly have it in them, and our schedule gets Hella easy after this next stretch of games. Regardless, we have the 9th easiest schedule in the league over the next 32 games.

The more room for error we have, the better, and we are of course not the only team in the logjam that is the east. We were given a gift this week, nows the time to pounce like a fox in the snow.

lets arse them

So much parity we have to be on top of our game against anyone. We have shown we can lose to the bottom teams

This game is a big 2 points if we win so it is just as important as any other game!

I guess but a tough opponent, dont fall out of 3rd if we lose. So I guess what I mean is a lose wont be as painful as some of our other games recently but with the Leafs situation a win will be even more sweet

It's sure gonna be interesting - caps are 8-1-1 over their last 10.

We obviously held them to 0-0 in reg 2 weeks ago. During which:

- they outshot us by 2, but had 4 OT SOG to our 0, so we outshot them in reg
- we took 4 less penalty minutes
- we had 3 less giveaways
- we had 2 more takeaways
- held them scoreless on the PP's we gave them

The Caps are obviously the better team re: their record, but damn if we didn't show up for that last game. Plus, we've had 2 more days of rest than they have.

Feels like a winnable game to me

Capital vs Capital, beat those yanks!

Another shot at the best team in the league after losing the last one 1-0 in OT.

Statement game if they can get the win tonight. Hope the Sens come out flying after their long break.
