on the one hand…this is honestly one of their better showings of the year in terms of generating chances and limiting time in their end. They simply couldnt finish chances and freddie made some great saves. They also couldnt get a bounce their way.

On the other theyve gifted car every goal with a handful of horrendous puck decisions and car has made them pay on almost every one.

Its like you cant have any issue with the effort of overall performance…but at this point of the season the brainfarts they have had are flat out unacceptable. Panarin more than anyone shoulda been stapled to the bench. He hasnt produced anything and hes costing goals…not saying it needs to be drastic but he shoulda sat the first

Add Trocheck to that list. We've (rightfully so) gotten on the case of guys like Zib, Kreider, Lindgren, Miller, etc. this year. Trocheck has been as big a disappointment as anyone.

I still can't f***ing believe he tried to back pass on that breakaway...

I stopped watching a while ago. Perusing this thread while watching re-runs of The Wire is much more entertaining... AND mentally healthy.

Another guess, Trocheck, Panarin, Laf, Fox, Lindgren are awful but Edstrom, Carrick, and Rempe are the ones who get their ice time trimmed in the 3rd.

This is the main problem. The scheme doesn't work because we have guys that don't want to or can't compete one on one. Case in point is Mika on the last goal. He's beat so bad that Miller leaves his guy to help and there's a wide open guy in front.

This was a completely even game and the team just fell apart when they gave up the second goal and faced adversity. It's not like they were being outclassed by any stretch. They just gave up once it was 2-0.

Absolutely agree…with him at least even if the production is down you could count on him to at least be responsible out there. That was horrific…not only the decision but that he did that at that point in the period.

Its awesome see the 4th line play as well as they have. Its also not great for the team that theyre the most consistent offensive threat.
