Getting McKegg and Gauthier out of the every day line up is going to be such a boon when the Rangers make a couple of deals at the deadline. The 5 v 5 play is going to improve when this happens.
I understand who he is. But he can still score goals. He is not incapable. And he has a good shot.
He's in the conversation for worst player in the league and he plays every game.
Why wouldn't he be here? Nemeth is gone and the Rangers will need as many cheap contracts as possible.

It's not just McKegg and Gauthier who are stupid and useless. It's also Rooney and, to a much lesser extent, Reaves. Rooney is lowkey quite bad. This entire bottom 6 is really rough.
These prospective replacement players have to get ice time for that to happen first. We can't Eric Staal any moves we make this year if we want to be competitive.
Like I said if Nemeth is healthy it's not happening. GG will go with Nemeth and Schneider 8 times out of 10 if not more. Unfortunately.
Nemeth had some time and space to move up the left side. Instead he sends an outlet pass from deep in the zone which gets turned over. 99% sure Jones skates it out first on that play.
I know the whole muh vet muh dependable muh size thing will always work in Nemeth's favor and it's not really a surprise Jones is sitting for him but god our D already sucks balls at passing and Nemeth might be the worst of all of them. Really did not miss him.
