It's moments like that when Smith's hockey IQ, hands, and vision are on display. You can literally see the gears working where he predicts where the defenseman is going to try to put the puck and snatches it.

yea it's nice to see this side of smith start to show up. i was surprised to see how successful he could be on the forecheck last year off of plays like this. if he can improve his skating strength, he could end up being a dangerous puck thief.

I really and truly think that we're just going to have to wait until he's 22 before Will Smith truly arrives, simply because of how physically immature he is. But the brain is all there, and it's very high-end. We just need to not give up on him at 21 like the Coyotes gave up on Dylan Strome.

I'm simply mind-boggled by 2RW Wennberg and 3C Kunin. Switch them and the lines look as good as they can with the circumstances we have.
