GDT: Game #50: Leafs @ Jackets 7pm ET

That is all this team needs on the backend. It's what many of us have said for some time and why I was impressed with Dubas getting Bogosian last year.

Simple, solid, physical and mean.

No fan should be ashamed to say they enjoy seeing an opposing forward rubbed out along the boards with clean, physical play as they try to enter the zone.

The anticipation of being hit impacts a players ability to dictate their game plan, it wears them down in a series, it keeps them at bay when in the crease area.

You need a bit of flash back there, but alot of grease goes further when in the defensive zone.

Not a great period but Jack got lucky, so we're up one.

Bushka looked decent. Not missing Holl after last night, happier with Sandin.

Way too much passing on the PP.

Kerfoot does not work on the second line. Nylander and Tavares don't seem to be clicking at all at the moment and Kerfoot isn't helping at all. They need a winger to slow the game down. To grind it out in the corners and win pick battles. That line seems like it's just in and out of the o-zone

Kerfoot is the least of the problems with the 2nd line
 
Lines in a blender please, Keefe! Remember, like a month ago when he put them in a blender for no reason? This is when you do it, when 3 of 4 lines aren't contributing.

JT needs to be on a line that has a heavy cycle game, because hes terrible on the rush and thats kerfoot and willys strength imo.

Nylander dumped it in around 3x that period and his line was 0/3 on the retrieval. Hopefully they change it up next period and carry it in.
