Sorry, I had to. This will probably be the only time I make a point of having some fun with my vs everyone else's football fandom (excluding SonomaShark, who's on board with me). Well, unless I change my avatar. which I am contemplating.

I was actually rooting for the Seahawks. Even being from the Bay Area, I don't really care about the 49ers toooo much. Just so happens that I liked the Seahawks first. My roommate was so annoyed at me when I predicted that the Seahawks would win. Also predicted that the Broncos would win too. Pretty good weekend for me.

My take on it is that a team that far out of the wild card race should not be doing that to the team leading the wild card race.

Of course, they aren't. The sharks top line would just end up being. Thornton, burns and pavelski.

Other then the bad swap of players in the penalty box, burns and thornton can both hold there own (in thorntons case can win) against any heavyweight the league can throw at him).

It is a different situation between the sharks top line vs the canucks.

That and the sharks and flames do not have any pent up frustrations because of what country they are from.

I don't think it's readily apparent how much work a good photoshopped GDT can be. Doing a fully original concept with zero templated material and clean, "professional" final results can easily take 6-10 hours of work. When I did mine, I probably took double that time because I was so picky about tiny little details and playing around with ideas. And unless you sit down and blow an entire day working on a GDT, that means probably a week's worth of work.

Not surprising that everyone became burned out on them. I know I did.

Not that I'm a super active member by any stretch (though I lurk a lot!)- but this is what always scares me away. My photoshop skills are pretty quick and efficient (do a lot for work) but the creativity involved would take me more time than I could ever wrap my head around. It would probably take me more time coming up with a solid theme and plan than the "work" itself. Don't get me wrong- there are some super talented PS artists here, but what blows me away is the thought behind everything. Pure genius, on so many levels. That's not even touching the research put into pre game links, lineups, etc. Hats off to all of you.

And as for the game... it's Calgary. We'll either blow them out of the water or play down to our competition. And it's a total crapshoot which one it will be. Though, I'm feeling a goal by Nieto.
