Both teams mailed in their last games in anticipation of this one. I expect it to feel like a playoff game, similar to last Saturday.

Both teams have holes and know only one is making the playoffs, if that.

So looking forward to it.

The wintry weather has been absolutely glorious in the south. I built my first snowman (at 56!), have experienced the joy of jumping rope in 46 degrees weather, saw dogs in heaven playing in the snow, heard little kids laughing when their parents lightly threw snowballs at them, etc.

So not getting too down when millionaires lose a hockey game.

As for handedness, I often feel coaches get too obsessed with that, rather than playing the best man available. When the Astros won the World Series in 2022, both Seattle and Philadelphia lost series-clinching games when their managers pulled pitchers who were doing well, so a lefty could face another lefty, Yordan Alvarez.

It is interesting, because with guitar, the overwhelming majority of players play right handed, even lefties like me. So the majority of guitars built are for righties.

I try to work both. If anyone is interested, I did this yesterday. It was absolutely glorious, 46 degrees, breathing cool air. I literally wanted to be on the mat all night. I share it because as much as a try to balance, my dominant left hand does work a little harder.

Sure.

Gotta let this play out

I think a full roster and less minimum Jones & 7 & 8th defensemen cure a lot

There definitely is that feeling when the milk tastes a little bit off but the expiration date is still 4 days away
Maybe, but I think somebody left it out of the fridge too long. Salmonella warning.

If Ottawa brings their A game I doubt the Bruins can keep up. I expect a good game and with good goaltending Bruins have a chance, but more likely another collapse and blow out.

Did some googling and there is absolutely nothing on any fine or even incident from last night's game.
It was when he got a penalty in the 3rd I believe. It looked like he wanted to drop the gloves with someone (or goad them into a penalty) and the linesman wouldn't let go of him so he tried to break himself free by chopping down a bit with his arm. Wasn't that bad but they've also fined/suspended for doing less to linsemen/refs

It looked to me as though he was making the motion to drop his gloves when it happened live. Is there a replay anywhere?

There was a player nearby I assumed he was challenging to wake up the team.

Big night with two of the bubble teams the Bruins are jockeying for a spot with guaranteed 2 points, the penguins and BJs also playing, and Bruins v Senators.
Need a win tonight

Remember when the Lunchpail Gang in '77 had eleven 20 goal scorers?
We are far removed from that era🤔

I wouldn't bet on that

sad post
You might be right, but I prefer that than a living in the past and wearing rose colored glasses. Good hockey, player, hard worker, been known to do some less than smart things on the ice, but it is time to face reality his time has passed and get something for him, before you end up empty handed.

Not a lot of hope for this one. Defense was already bad with McAvoy, without him it's just a farce.

If him and Lindholm being back doesn't make things better before the deadline we are well and truly screwed
Ottawa may be without Ullmark, Sanderson, Jensen and Norris. I don't see a reason Boston can't win if those players are out.

I'm a lefty in all sports, baseball, hockey, surfing, skateboard, and the one time I tried golf. But I write (and throw) righty, naturally. No nuns to blame, because my left hand is basically useless for anything but sports. My older brother is even weirder, bats, throws, shoots, golfs, even cuts with scissors righty, but he writes lefty.

My dad was a victim of the nuns, though. He was ambidextrous because of it, and sometimes switched his pencil/paintbrush (he was an artist) depending on what type of art he was doing (i.e. lines vs. shading). Don't tell him that though, he swore up and down that he was a righty (the nuns really did a job on him, LOL).

I'm ambidextrous too- I write, throw & do most things with my right hand however I can do them left handed in a pinch. I bat, golf & kick lefty. I started out writing left handed but my teacher (a non-nun for the record) made me switch.

I didn't think it ever snowed in Texas, at least not in the south. I've learnt something!

With guitar I've always thought that because left-handed guitars are so rare, the vast majority of people who learn are simply given a righty whether it naturally suits them or not, and the lefties just adjust because it's usually seen to be do that or give up (or do a Hendrix!). I suspect there would be more left-handed players if there was a greatly availability of left-handed guitars. Instead they're rare and usually more expensive.

Your impressive rope jumping reminded me of the importance of fitness and of how the Bruins didn't seem to have it at the start of the season. Underdone back then and I still don't think they've ever really caught up. So many slow starts, down patches and games were they get heavily outshot or simply fade out as it goes along. No team can go at 100% all the time, and their sheer lack of foot speed hurts them too, but this current group has never felt like being on the cutting edge in terms of their fitness and endurance. Amongst all the things that need to be reviewed about the team and where it's going wrong, looking at the current conditioning staff and program should be on the list. Really feels like it could be better.

It was kinda similar the move one does in a hockey fight to try and shake loose the hand that another guy has tied up.

Nothing egregious but when it happened my first thought was definitely that he was getting suspended, just because they generally don't like you even breathing on a ref/linesman

I think it will be hard to find without actually going back to that penalty and clipping it ourselves.

I'm surprised I'm one of the few who saw that, I'm usually high as a kite watching the games lol
