0-2 against these guys so far this season, one OTL and one SOL. Ottawa got embarrassed 5-0 in their last chipper outing against the Rags, so I'm guessing we're SOL and will lose again.

It was December 23rd, one month ago today, the Bruins beat the Caps 4-1. That was the last time they won a game where #88 didn't score a goal.

Post game from Sacco: Swayman dealing with something minor so thought best to get him out of there. Re-evaluate for tomorrow [today].

Yikes. 😱

Not much to say, but I love finding these AI images. I'll hope for the best, but without Charlie and Lindholm, it is going to be very rough. We have been so used to a strong PK over the years, this is very hard to take. The PP has been an issue forever, but without one or the other.......yikes.

GO BRUINS!!!!!!

The ultimate dilemma

IF ownership is thinking about a change in the front office you have to do it now a month before the trade deadline.

It was not a pleasant drive back from Newark
Serious question

Why would they make a change now ?

A dilemma ? Really

The Bruins didn’t fly back ?

Gotta let this play out

I think a full roster and less minimum Jones & 7 & 8th defensemen cure a lot

There definitely is that feeling when the milk tastes a little bit off but the expiration date is still 4 days away

They pissed away any cushion they had this month.

Now it’s the numbers game, and games played is their biggest enemy. The margin for error is less than zero and they have to chase every point.

The goal differential is very telling.

The points they secured in their previous three games momentarily kept their heads above water, but it’s not sustainable.

So, sure. Let it play out. We all know where it is headed. I guess I would take letting it play out and standing pat over adding.

If the owners want to retool the time to commence that is at the deadline. To delay would simply be to waste time and opportunities. And if they no longer believe that at least one of Cam and Don are the right people to take charge of that process, then the time to change personnel is now, so that the new person/s can manage the retool right from the start as they see fit and have full control over it.

However I believe it is most likely that the incumbents will be retained, based on their past performance, and be given a chance to rectify the errors and issues of this current season. I also don't think the Jacobs will be able to bring themselves to fully commit to giving up on this season until it's too late to make any management changes prior to the season's end. But yeah, IF they did want change, within the next couple of weeks is the best time.

Interestingly enough, in 2006 they let MOC conduct the trade deadline where he traded Samsonov out the door. But he was clearly operating on the notion that he was preparing for the following year and he was not. Extended Thomas and Axelsson, was about to extend Hal Gill before ownership pulled the plug. Likely would of taken a run at newly acquired Marty Reasoner had he not been relieved of his duties.

2014-15 Cam puts a stop to a deal to bring in Antoine Vermette that would of shipped out a 1st rounder. Chia makes the Connolly deal coughing up two 2nds and you could tell Sweeney had no time for that player. Gives him a 1-year prove it deal then non-tenders him a year later. Coughs up another 2nd rounder at the deadline in 2016 to bring in Suitcase Stempniak to effectively replace Connolly while he was still on the roster.

Can the Bruins afford to let Sweeney/Neely conduct this year's trade deadline if they are even thinking about relieving them of their duties? Past history says they can't.

I watch the Bruins now to be "kind of" entertained.
It's hard to cheer for a team that has some very obvious house cleaning to be done.

There's some hard decisions coming regarding guys of whether they are staying or are they going.
Frederic.
Marchand.
I'm not particularly keen on have Cam and Don involved in some of those decisions.
They're capable of finding hidden talent such as Kastelic and Koepke. Their bigger contract signings have been mostly so so to uuuuuuugh.

Well if they lose to Ottawa tonight they might as well just take a look in the mirror and say they are just not good enough. The wrong combination of size, defence, speed and goal scoring ability is obvious on this team. Elias Lindholm is a complete disaster at 7.75 mil per for .5 pt per game production.

Let's face it DS what you have now cannot be fixed with a couple of tweaks. This will not make this team a true contender let alone a playoff team.

Going to be a long drawn out rest of the season.
