That's his game. He's flashy, but not effective at all... Well, sometimes he's effective (5 points in that 4 Nations Tournament), but it happens so rarely. I'd say he's another Polunin, and they are from the same system as well.

He played way too flashy like you said and was a bit selfish with the puck. Ruined some chances for that line

There was a lot of sympathy for the Danes by the refs, which kept the game closer than the talent levels represented. Discretionary calls can go whichever way you want them to.

That said, Russia has to play well tomorrow night against the Czechs in order to avoid the kind of 3rd place preliminary round finish they had last year. Tomorrow has critical medal round implications.
